Suggestions Needed

I have a dog that has gotten irritated under his neck looks like from where the collar has rubbed all the hair off and now it is just skin and stays moist. I have taken his collar off while in the kennel to see if that helps. Any suggestion or old remedies that anyone has to correct this. Thanks

Nu-Stock

Nu-Stock will help. It’s available at most farm stores. Comes in a white tube. It’ll grow hair on concrete. Stinks to the high heavens. Wear gloves when you apply it, or smell like sulfur all day. I bought a two pack on Amazon for a pretty good deal.

collar

If you are using a day-glo or nylon collar, switch to a leather collar.
a couple of years ago.. (might have been 3-4)seems as though some dogs are a bit sensitive to the edges on the nylon/plastic...
anyway I left the collar off a while and used a NFZ puffer to apply the NFZ you can get it at Tractor supply or any Farm store that has animal health products.

and it healed up good.

Nitrofurazone

I have used a NFZ sav for similar situation and it worked well.

I have a female that seems to be allergic to the metal buckle. I put a collar on her when I take her hunting and take it off when I get back.
