re-casting

my redbone has a habit of going back to the tree that he treed a racoon in if I recast him. How is this handled in a nite hunt . Is this going to cost a person wins.

There is no reason for this issue. It is completely up to you to train him that his behavior is unacceptable.
U should be able to research this forum for help with this problem more in depth. Basically walk him off the tree 10 feet and recast. Your next step is to guard the tree and make sure he moves on.

You won't be scratched for it in UKC, but it is a waste of hunting time.
