Yeah. I saw this. Have fed sport mix for several years. Have changed some people over to it. Time to o change. I am thinking Purina is the only one I know it having a recall for deadly dog food. I feed 4 Blueticks and 2 beagles. What are you all favorite Purina?

i just got some good sportmix that the dogs were doingg great on and now this. i think i will just stay with purina chow. its priced right and available at walmart and other places, infact ive got a litter of 5 week old pups doing great on it.

Just food for thought. Every single major dog food brand has had a recall at one time or another. If you were excluding dog food based on a recall there would be no good dogfood left to feed. The good ones recall the bad ones never mention it................

I fed victor hi pro plus for about 1 year. Good feed. I researched it some and couldn't find a recall ever for victor

I’ve fed Sportmix for years. This is the second recall in less than a year for 2 different reasons. It seems there is a major problem in a factory somewhere. I’m not willing to risk my dogs health at this point. I bought Valu-Pac this week. I’m changing to it and see how my dogs do with it.

I called them personally. This one is from the FDA. It is linked to the recall of last January. It took the FDA that long to confirm it.
How much I trust them? Not a ton...

They added the FSMA (food safety modernization act) 10-12 years ago to go along with the FDA. It is supposed to make sure that everything is safe and to prevent contamination in feed. Everything’s not always perfect look at the recall of our food sources.

i have switched to this feed from pro plan.
been feeding it for 6 months or so now. coon dogs seem to be doing great on it, been hunting 5 plus nights a week, my hunt test lab is in great shape as well and does good on it.
i am feeding the 30/20 blend.
