Certain Bloodlines...

a hypothetical or make believe situation...
There is a hunter in northern Michigan area that is well known for a line of big game bear dogs...the mans name is Joe Lyons...he’s been breeding these dogs for at least 40 years with not much new blood brought in to his breeding program through those years...he will run them on coyote during the off season and they can lead the best coyote hounds at any given time...as bear dogs they stick with a mean bear and either make it back up to a bank or makes it want to climb...

Joe Lyons will hunt a few as coon dogs...he likes the idea of testing his hounds for finding and striking ability with accuracy...he only breeds the very best...no excuses...His dogs must cast, rig or start a track they are put on...most hound doggers have heard of Joe Lyons and his strain of hounds...most know his hounds as the lionheart big game hounds...

Joe Lyons passes away and 30 years later folks are wanting some that Lionheart blood...

The thing is Joe Lyons is not breeding those dogs so there isn’t any guarantee the bloodline can be maintained...

What kind of dog man was Joe Lyons that made him a legendary dog man?
