Machine gun fast or good and steady?
How do you like your tree dogs? I like mine steady 60 to 90 barks a minute but must be accurate. I don't like all that flash and running around slobbering every where and foolish nonsense.
Steady and consistent
60 to 70 barks per minute steady and consistent suits me to a tee. Like the tortise and the hare story, I want mine in it for the whole race, it's hard for s dog to keep up that 120 bark a minute style for a great amount of time. In these mountains it takes longer to get to some trees and I want a steady tree dog to guide me. Dave

ABSOLUTELY x2
I don't care if my dog barks 10 times a minute or 210 times a minute when it trees. As long as it is at the tree when I get to it that is all I care about

I just gotta know it's treed. I could care less how it trees as long as I can tell for sure it's treed solid and it stays.
I personally like a bawl mouthed treedog. It's harder for others to jump on them and steal the points when they are getting beat.

Let's go huntin
I like a 90 to 120 barks per minute tree dog. Hard for me to stay excited about hunting a dog that doesn’t tree that hard no matter how many coon they can tree.

The dog that excites me is the dog that locates the coon when the other dogs can't figure out where it is. Nothing makes me like a dog more than the ability to locate a coon the other dogs can't or sure can't do it as quickly as he can. I do want them to bark enough that I don't have to wonder if they are treed.
