I'm hunting a 8 mth old walker female. She will strike her on coon an run it to the tree locate an throw a few tree barks then kcomes off an comes back. Needing tips to get her to stick an stay treed.

She's still a baby. Give her more time and she will figure it out.

If possible hunt her with an old dog until she gets it figured out completely.

It's their natural instinct to trail, some dogs it will take time to figure the treeing part out. Often these will end up being very accurate dogs. She just needs a little more confidence.

If possible try to stay close enough to her that you can get to her quickly before she has a chance to second guess herself and leave. If you can get to her before she leaves tie her as close to the tree as possible and encourage her to tree. Take your time searching the tree encouraging her as needed. The idea is to have her tree for 10 or 15 mins.

Good luck with your pup sounds like she's off to a good start.

I agree completely with Coby here, she is just young and needs more time some dogs dont even start clicking until they're 1 to 2 yrs old so she has a great start. Get to the tree as quick as you can to encourage her. When possible shoot some out to her dead. If she starts leaving after this when the dogs tree again tie her back when u shoot a coon out to the other dogs and dont let her have it let her bark and just take her away. Only do this after u have tried to encourage on treeing. This will get her fired up and make her think that hey when I bark up this tree I get rewarded and when I don't I dont get anything. Your pup is off to a great start though just dont get discouraged to quick she is still in the learning stage and it will take alot of time and effort to get her there but she will if givin the chance.

My questions to you would be :
How Old are you ?
How long have you been Coonhunting ?
I dont mean for that to sound in a bad way.....I am just guessing you are very young & so is she. You Both need some experience maybe.
What is she out of as far as Pedigree ?

You should be very happy she is doing what she is for an 8 Month old puppy.
This is where most people fail......they simply expect too much too soon and give up way to early.
Patience and more time in the woods will solve that problem.

Sounds like things are really going pretty well for you and your young dog. I don't know how many coon she has seen but I would perhaps try and find the situation that your close enough that when she leaves you can get to the tree and knock the coon out.

If you are using one of the gps tracking systems you can see by her track where the tree was or you can mark it when she trees. If you don't have a system like that, you can just hustle a little and find the tree. Either way, enjoy what your doing and keep us posted on how she is doing.
