Question about nite hunts

When your dog gets 5 cast wins and becomes a nite champion do those 5 cast wins count towards the 8 cast wins to become a grand or does the dog have to get 8 more wins on top of that 5? That would make it 13 cast wins to become a grandnite champion. Been studying the rule book and it doesnt specify on this so any help would be great.

The count starts over, a nite champion needs 8 cast wins hunting in the champion cast to make grand.

No

It takes 5 CW to make NTCH now. Then 8 CW to make GRNTCH. Good thing about new rules to finish is you don't have to have a 1st place at any hunt to be finished & 5 CW get you qualified for $200,00 hunt off next spring.. Take care, Ron.
