Dog Barrier for Sedan

I'm not sure if anyone of you has tried constructing a barrier. I was inspired by this https://www.subarupartspros.com/sku/f551sxa200.html but I would love a barrier that I could still just flip if I don't wanna use it. Not sure if this is permanent though.
