Dog falling short

I’ve got a 2 year old female that’s been having lots of trouble moving a track under a tree! As I look back I realized she showed me more coon when she was 12-18 months! Will a young dog kind of go backwards at a certain age?

Most go through a stage around 2 to 3 years old of trying older tracks. Most figure out what they can work and there after seem to get better.

Also remember, mother nature allows the momma coon to loose a little scent when nursing. Predators have a harder time following her back to the den. Same as Deer, Yotes and rabbits.

Could be any number of things including the dog just regressing as some have mentioned. There is one thing I would try first before all others put the dog on a Zyrtec or claritin once a day and get back to us in about a week. I've seen seasonal allergies affect many. If you've noticed any goop in his eyes and sneezes you may even give a shot of penicillin for good measure they can get sinus infections just like us. You may think I'm crazy for this one but if you do not follow a strict dewormer schedule a good worming sometimes puts dogs that are not acting themselves back on the right track.
