House’s Lipper & Tar Rattler semen

Looking back through pedigrees and talking to the old folks it always seems that Lipper crossed on a Rattler daughter or Rattler crossed on a Lipper daughter was always a successful cross. My question now is why haven’t we seen the parties in control of either of these dogs semen line things up and attempt on old school proven cross in today’s times? Like I said, just an observation and something I thought might be interesting to see. Honest input? I’m I not thinking correctly?

Very little rattler seman left and it’s not good quality and the price is to high. I think all the lipper seman is gone but I could be wrong lol. I do know where there is some grntch yadkin tar chief seman he was the sire of my grchgrntch yadkin tar deacon dog. Chief was out of rattler and Missouri candy. And I know there are some lipper daughters around that might be somthing for you to study on.

While its not the cross you are talking about, i put a little twist on it and bred Tree Blaster(Champ son) to a line bred Stylish Lipper female, pretty excited to see how they will turn out

I plan to breed a Nailor semen female to a LIPPER semen male this year. Close to what your referring to. I’m with Tar on this....not much of the old stuff left, and if we don’t start producing some females out of what’s left to breed back, we’re gonna lose it and a lot of foundation traits with it.
