2020 Turkey Season

This is our grandson 7 year old Kash with his first turkey ever. He told me it's beard was exactly 9". His dad and uncle Matt when out with him to help call them in but he has been practicing or more like just driving his mother crazy with a mouth call and box call lol. After several days of not getting a shot he bagged this one. I love this pic and think I will have one framed for his daddy's wall.

I just love these kind of posts, I can not describe the sheer joy that I get from seeing our young hunters bagging their first turkey, deer or other game animal. It brings back so many memories, just as it will for them as they age. Our children are the future, I am just so thankful they still have the opportunity to hunt just as we had these opportunities. Please congratulate Kash for me, it makes me very proud of him. Dave

Thanks Dave. If you could have heard the pure joy in his little voice on the phone telling me all about his hunt. He used his uncles 12 gauge Belinelli to shoot it and it blew off part of the tail feathers lol! They were worried if he could handle it but he did.

While it has been many moons ago, I can remember my first kill and running fast as I could to tell my family. I don't think my feet touched the ground very often, seemed like I was floating in the air, man was I proud, just a boy, hut I felt like I was 10 foot tall. You can never forget the feeling of accomplishment, way above the sheer act of hunting a animal or bird. Tell Kash I am proud of him and that I wish him many more successful hunts. Dave
