Michigan stay at home law

I went hunting with my buddie last night here in Michigan and we both got tickets for not staying at home in Michigan , I told the warden to be there again all this week and he could write me a ticket again and I would fight them , he said next time he would take me to jail and I could stay at home there.

They are releasing criminals from jail because of the Carona Virus at the same time that they are putting people in jail for violating unlawful stay at home order. What is wrong with this picture?

Coon season open 365 days a year here no limit. They put coons on the nuisance list this year said they might eat a Turkey egg.

Believe I would find a new place to live if I couldn't coon hunt year around.

Lol. I don't know what his fine will be, but getting an Attorney will almost be certain to cost more than the fine. You can almost be sure that the judge will be lenient in this type of case. I would take my chances without spending the cost of an Attorney. Just saying. Dave. P. S. The fact you owned the land will be the deciding factor in that you were on your property would be considered staying at home. Now if the ticket was for hunting during the quiet season it would not help that you owned the land. You absolutely have the right to visit your land even in the stay at home directive, you would be considered at home in a court of law. Use that defense and you WILL prevail. Dave

I've coon hunted in the same place for the past 20 years and have never even seen a game warden.

Well in Michigan its closed April 15 even in these tough times this law hasn't changed.

If they have to stay at home much longer they will be forced to watch Michigan pro football ............... hmmmmmm.
