Which one is worse ?
1. Walk to a slick tree at 100 yards ?
2. Or a slick tree you took a long death march to get to ?
I don’t whip mine and send them on off the second one lol.

No difference, both slick however, the 1st is easier on the handler. I hate both situations especially the deep and slick tree. Dave

See, I don't think we give the coons enough credit. A coon's intelligence level is thought to be equal with a rhesus monkey. Between raising orphaned coon, trapping, ADC work, and coon hunting, I have story after story about amazing things I have witnessed coons doing.
I am actually surprised that coons hounds can be as accurate as some I have seen.
Now, don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I enjoy walking to a slick tree!
