Mike Blackburn just called to let me know Pride passed away sometime today.

Pride sired some of the best pups I’ve ever raised.

Very sorry for your loss, he will live on in his offspring. He reminded me of my old dog that passed away in December at age 14. I sure wish that I had mine back at age 4 or 5, but no such thing. The good ones never live long enough, that's for sure. Dave

I know of a few guys that try to give the old dogs away to youth hunters to enjoy and so they don't have to see the final days. But I can't ever do that to the dog that gave me so many great memories through the years. Like my old n senile female, she doesn't owe me a thing and she seems happy to go hunting when I take her. Even if she never gets out of the box. She just enjoys being out and about with everyone else. I just hope when the time comes she goes peacefully.

Thanks Pastor Mike, I think when someone mentions Swampmusic Kennels most people will think of Pride before they think of Boone or Lobo. He produced some of the best pups I ever raised. Hopefully Hoss will carry on in his footsteps.

Thanks Corey.. Pride had been to Southeastern Treeing Walker Days every year since he was 3 months old. This will be the first year in about 25 years that I haven't made it to SETWD's.
