Any suggestions?

Got a young dog that wants to hunt with his head in the air, coming up short and is not finishing out the track. Any suggestions?

You just keep hunting him and you will end up with one of the best hounds you ever owned. When hunting him by himself, and he trees to quick, put him on the leash and walk him in a circle around the tree until you notice that he is smelling scent on the ground where the coon went on. Start him in that direction and encourage hime to continue tracking. He will eventually figure it out if he has any brain power.
