T5 collar help

I have a T5 that was working fine used it one night last week. The next night I went to use it and it would not turn on. I have had it on the charger for two days using two different chargers and the light is still red. I have tried taking it off and turning it on and still nothing. Anybody else had this happen? Just looking to see if I can get this fixed myself or if I will need to send it off to Garmin.

Following this post ........
I have a TT-15 that has never failed me until the last Hunt I used it somehow turned off between the time I cut loose and first time I checked the Garmin. I let it sit and charge for a day and the charger light is still “red”. Collar will not turn on. I’m starting to think it’s either the mother board or a bad battery. Hopefully by replacing the battery it will begin to function as it should. If not then it’s getting sent in!!!

Battery

How much was the battery and where can I get one?

.

What I would recommend before replacing the battery, is if you have a second collar. Swap the batteries around.

They are in the $35 price range from most dealers. Collars are a little hard to troubleshoot and there are several small things to check. Like wiping the contact points down with rubbing alcohol.

Unfortunately it sounds like replacement collars are needed. Garmin can handle them for just over $100 if out of warranty.

Bruce

Thanks Bruce. I will try to swap batteries around and if that doesn't work I will send it off to Garmin.
