abbots bawling rebel

has anyone hunted with this dog or his offspring?

I had a male off him years ago from the Rebel Hardwood bow cross that was made 3 times big dogs big mouth loud for the hearing impaired loud good treedogs. There is a guy on prohound with some frosen straws from him and a man has some pups from him and a Harry female very similar in breeding to the cross that produced Stylish Gold and several others from that litter were tornados.

We bought him from Kenny Abbott and offered him at stud for many years. He was sold when he was older to Benny Harding.

With that said I've hunted with him many times. He was fast, overpowering loud, independent and extremely accurate. Also very smart and level headed. A balanced hound. Perfect in the kennel as well.

We owned many pups out of him and they all exhibited these same traits. I'm currently hunting a granddaughter to him that split treed her third time in the woods at 6 months old and is a complete natural. She's never seen a drag or a caged coon. I literally just put her in the woods and she figures it out. She's 16 months old and will be hard to beat after this season.

We have a small amount of semen left that we are saving for the right females. I will probably breed this granddaughter back to his semen in a few years.

He was also a big dog. About 80 lbs. Mostly black and white with a little tan trim on his head. He was one of the more underrated studs of his time and we also didn't do the greatest job promoting him.

I owned one directly off of him, he was a coon dog Bar none.
Very accurate a big mouth with a triple locate. He was just to big of a hunting dog for me. You would pull him off a tree somewhere.
