Had someone ask me if there was any Rankins Blue Lead blood left. Did anyone do any line breeding on Lead that still might have that blood today?

Man, you must be good at typing!! It would take me half a day to type that with my 1 finger style. I had a couple dogs way back when with him up close that were nice dogs. Take care, Ron.

I’ve done enough of them now that I’ve almost got it down to a science with some cutting and pasting. Lol. I remember my Dad having page after page of handwritten pedigrees that he did from memory. I’m not near as good as he was. Lol.

My Ranger dog has Lead in his pedigree but I was thinking there was someone from Texas or Oklahoma who had some Lead up closer and maybe line bred on him but I can’t remember who it was for the life of me.

Charles Dawson here in Alabama had GrNtCh PR Dawson's Wolf Creek Judge that I think was directly off Lead. I had a couple of pups years ago off of Judge but haven't heard of anything going back to him lately.

I used to own the mother of Dawson’s wolf creek Judge.

Check with Tiny Santana out in California . It’s still around my Rankins Blue Lead bred male Judge passed away this last winter . There were a few pups out of him here in the Midwest from a female with some Lead blood in her

Not line bred on Lead, but I do have a 3 year old male that is a great grandson of Troy Rankin's Blue Lead, by way of Wheatwood Blu Lucky. Fine looking and acting hound. He has a second dose of Lead by way of GRNITECH Utchman's So. Blue Scout in the 5th gen too. Hard to find "lead blood" close up these days. My male has his first litter on the ground (4 wks). I have 4 males (and possibly 1 female) not committed at this point. Beautiful and healthy as you will find pups. I have not advertised this litter, but they are going fast locally b/c of the known abilities of Sire and Dam (especially). Hit me up if you are interested. Can send photos of Sire/Dam/pups.

Thanks for the replies. I just had a guy message me awhile back and ask me so I was curious if anyone had any closer up than what I had thru Ranger. I found that seven generation pedigree in my Dad's basement after he passed away. I uncovered a lot of history when I was doing some cleaning. lol.

i have one here that goes back to lead 5 or 6 times that i plan to breed to a litter mate to Dan L dog when she comes in. I have hunted with the mother and sire of Dan's dog and they are both nice. Also have two litter mate females to dan's dog here in oklahoma
