Loosing weight, info needed...
A friends dog has lost 20 pounds, and the vet said that the blood work results show a low B-12 count. The dog is active and put on puppy food. Any advice and thanks in advance.
The vet stated that the dog was not absorbing nutrients from the food?

Sounds like a Malabsorption disorder ....
In the digestive tract.. (small)
IBD,EPI,or leaky gut, is what I would start researching .
Give pre&probiotics is a start.
A bowel obstruction will have Malabsorption symptoms also...
Had 1 die even after surgery .
Good luck
Did they check him for hook or whip worm give hi m a shot of vitb injetable
