Summertime Dog Box

How many of you have a summer time dog box? I am thinking about making one and looking for ideas. I googled it and a lot of them look like rig boxes for hog and coyote hunters. Wondering if anyone has one that just slides in between the wheel wells like a regular box, and if you do have an over the rail style what are pros and cons?

I have an OleDryPond box that is great for summer and winter. Closes up good for winter and very ventilated for summer. You might look at them.

DHK manufacturing has a great summer box and you can slide sides in it for winter

i use the ex. large wire dog crate i bought at T.S. . in the summer i mostly just ride around till ole mongo strikes out of the back of the truck cut him and tree them close to the truck.lol. if we get caught in the rain i wrap a tarp fastened with bungie cords to the crate or just let him up in the cab.lol
