Live traps

Is there anyplace that sells heavy duty live traps? Those I’ve been buying at tractor supply are not lasting!

I wish I had an answer for ya. Everything is JUNK nowadays. Every time I think I have found a durable one like I had when I was younger it gets destroyed after a couple catches. Companies can't stay in business if they make something that will last 40 years. Make em cheap, sell em high and when they break, they will buy another!

Tom A Hawk traps and get the one with the sliding rear door and the professional one. Best traps out there.

TRAEGER LIVE TRAPS ARE BY FAR THE BEST AND HEAVY DUTY.

I build my own. Ones I'm using now are over 10 yrs old. Everything can be bout at tax to make it.

If you buy the ones from Tractor Supply make sure you buy a package of J-hooks and a J clamp pliers. Then clamp a J hook on nearly every mesh rectangle along a connecting edge. There still isn't a guarantee that the pan doesn't get bent up by a coon.

I have had better luck with Tomahawk live traps, but I also build my own. When I had an ADC business years ago, I made all my transport cages. I prefer live traps with a spring loaded door locking mechanism over ones that rely on a gravity lock. F&T Trappng Supply has several models to choose from. The Freedom Brand and Bridger live traps are pretty heavy duty.. Then there is the bucket live trap kit. The solid plastic traps are fairly durable and they work.

Good luck.

Advanced trap

I love my trap, it is pricey, but you won't be buying another one because the critter chewed and pulled, etc. Kirk Dekalb. you can check out videos on you tube as well.
