Tyler : what old folks gripe about

Besides coonhunting :

1. The quality of toilet paper

2. To much secret sauce on their McDonald's hamburger

3. It's too cold wish it would warm up

4. It's to warm wish it would cool down

5. Wish it would rain

6. Wish it would stop raining

We gripe about everthing lol

Mr. Lambert x2. I try not to talk too anyone under 50

Posted by Dave Richards on 03-05-2019 07:52 PM:

Mr. Lambert/ Roy Grant

I am sure glad that the old timers did not feel that way when I was a young man. Most of them were happy to share their knowledge and stories with me, I learned a lot from them. Now I was really interested in what they had to say and showed respect for them and their thoughts, this may have been the difference between then and now. I was taught respect for my elders and would not have it any other way. We have to remember that not all young folks are no it all and can benefit from our knowledge, respect is a mutual thing, most of the time if one gives respect, they get respect. Dave

Well Mr. Grant I have read a lot of stuff you have posted and even though I’m not sure if I’ve ever met you or not I’ve valued your opinion on a few of the topics that you’ve voiced it on. I try to be nice to everyone and I like to visit at hunts. Seeing as how I’m only 25 I’ll remember to not come up and introduce myself if our paths ever cross. I’ll probably play Deaf/Mute if we ever draw out together. It’s a Shame that people have to be like that.

Sounds like Jen and Cheyenne have raised you right, please remember that not everyone on old guys are that way. I have always treasured my younger days and the value I received from the older hunters advice. I guess it's all in how one is raised and the part if the country one lives in. I sure miss the older hunters and the good times we had. Personally, I try hard to be of help to the younger hunters in my area, one day they will be in the position to help the younger hunters of their time and I hope to be a positive role model for them to follow.Dave

Well I will just brag on ya then !! Your very accomplished at what you do to just be 25 yrs old !! I remember when I was 25 pulling in to hunts like autum oaks that was amazing all that stuff and dogs for sale all the big boys was there I would ease up around them just so I could hear their stories but one day you will get old enjoy it to the fullest.

One of the biggest problem with age is Gravity, it takes everything I put in my hands an sucks it under the truck, my recliner, under the bed, hides it under leaves, it will take your hat off your head it will take your hunting light down the bank, yea gravity sux.

Mr Richards, I have heard that some of the Old Timers still feel that way about you now. Now that is just what I have been told. And I promised Tarbaby that I wouldn't say who told me that.

Mr. Lambert

Lol. That makes my day! I use some of these guys as a measuring stick, if I start to agree with them, I realize I must be WRONG and correct myself asap. You ever have a dog that you used to CHECK other dogs with? You might say that some of these guys are check dogs, if they are running a track you know it's wrong, immediately shock yourself and return to truck. Lol. Everyone needs a measuring stick, don't they? Lol. Dave
