What's the difference

What's the difference in breeding a I'll male dog that is known to be a tree fighter and breeding automatic hyper strike dogs I had a hunter ask me this question and they sound like faults to some and other hunters will keep both types and breed them

Dogs are aloud to babble for 1 minute but fighting is against the rules.

Mr. Osborne thanks for your reply so why would someone who bred and promoted a tree fighter with no titles because he reproduced tree dogs 40 yrs. ago when we needed it run down the babblers as you call them and the dogs trained to fit the rules in a registry

I guess maybe if you named the man and dog some of us are old enough to give you the answer you request.

Hyper dogs don’t make the best hunting dogs even though there can be good ones that are hyper...

Dog aggressive tree fighters or bay fighters will ruin young dogs pretty quick...at the least they should be neutered or spayed...

Faults

I asked the gentleman the same thing because I might have heard of the dog he told me what difference does it make who owned him or what dog it was also Mr. Osborne 1rst. post and ruebens post answered it for me the gentleman does not have a computer he just gets the magazines he also stated why so much negativity

I guess I'm different than the previous responses. I don't want a fighter, but I don't want 1 to pack his bags if it gets rough on a tree with dogs jockeying around. I don't like gamblers either. That to me is people not wanting to put proper training on a hound.

I don’t like dogs that are greedy at the tree or bay...but I don’t like my dogs to be push overs either...

Eric/Rueben

I agree with both of you, can't stand a fighter, but don't want mine run off their tree. Some folks argue that a dog taking it's part is mean, I disagree. I have owned some of the easiest going dogs ever that would fight back if jumped on by another dog. I NEVER correct one of my dogs that takes their part, but woe unto my dog if he starts the fight. How many men would stand there and let another man whip him without fighting back. I won't and don't want my dogs to either. Dave
