Nebraska State Hunt March 8th and 9th Purina Event

Purina Event March 8 and 9 Auburn Nebraska, Nemaha County Fairgrounds

this is not in the magazine but is posted online in the events calendar .I will try to post a flyer once I receive it from our Federation President, it will have prizes rules ect listed on the flyer

Bench show Deadlines Friday and Saturday 6 pm $20 entry fee overall winner decided Saturday night Friday winners can come back and compete with Saturday winners or show again Saturday if they wish

Hunt Deadline 8 pm both nights $30 entry fee top 4 scores will hunt off unsanctioned hunt after Saturdays casts are back double cast wins take precedent over high single cast win

We are currently under a blizzard warning here in southeast Nebraska with snow still on the ground from last week so you southern guys can bring your hounds that you have been able to hunt up here and put it on these local hounds that we haven't been able to get to the woods much recently due to winter weather

One of the first Purina events of the Year so you can get a jump on the competition

All owners and handlers of all hounds entered must be Nebraska Federation members prior to deadlines for entering to be overall bench winner or final four in hunt we will have folks there to take membership dues

You better reschedule it ,Its not gonna be above freezing for the next 2 weeks according to the weather man.

yes that is what I saw as well of course hoping it will change for the better

but after haying horses and mules just now I doubt all the snow will be gone by then might make for some pretty tough going for sure either snow or mud neither is fun to walk in

Heat wave today 31 degrees roads are a mess!!! calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow Saturday and 7 below Sunday night supposed to be in the 30s next weekend for the hunt will see what develops as we get closer to the date

latest weather report could be more snow this week upper 30s Friday lows in 20s 42 is Saturday high forecast so looking a little better but we will still have snow on the ground
