As a new hunter what do you think the term world champion should mean ?

For a dog or a person?

The dog ! You can use the secretariat the race horse approach if you like. He was probly the greatest race horse in history. Just your honest opinion of what the world champion coon hound would mean to you. I think some need a fresh outlook. I know how I felt about it when I first started buuuuuut we had to wait till the book came out to find out who won it lol.

I think that a coon dog who is a world champion in a certain year should be able to tree a coon better then any other dog that year in the world. Maybe it’s by accuracy or speed not sure how it’s judged but the world champion should be the best out there that year.

That's pretty good but after working for a full year to get to the world hunt what would it mean to you to win it you can go into detail if you like. the reason I am asking there are 4 new world champions crowned each year I think us older guys that are out of the loop just take for granted what sacrifices it takes to accomplish it. Through your eyes we might see the sparkle and excitement. Like my son Corey just turned 32 he is excited about coonhunting I see that in you.

I’m not even close to being a world champion or anything since I’ve never coonhunted so I don’t really know how that would feel but I’m sure it would be amazing and quite an achievement I’d be real proud of my dog I’d probably buy him a big steak lol. How can there be 4 world champions though each year? I’m real excited about coon hunting one of my birthday presents was that we would go spectate a coon hunt so I’m super excited almost fainted haha

4 different kennel clubs. Wait till you get to go hunting you will never be the same.
