Bbcha

I talked to Jim Combs (President of BBCHA) today
I have a supply of membership cards for 2019 to the best Bluetick association in America.
for 2018 we had 947 members. would like to see that top 1000 for 2019

individual memberships are $30 per year and you will receive the best Bluebook printed.
the 2018 yearbooks are in the process of being printed-- it is not to late to pay the 2018 dues but you will not be listed as a 2018 member.
send $30 dues per year to

Don Cummings
1586 Road 130
Emporia, Kansas 66801

I well get them to our membership chair.

Now Don you may ruffle a few feathers using words like "best" too many times. BBCHA has been gaining memberships the past few years and with added interest the year book has sure grown also. Promoters like Don certainly is one reason for the enthusiasm the association has seen. Thanks!!

New Here

Hey Y'all. I'm new here and new to coon hunting as well. I will soon own a bluetick puppy, or my daughter will. It will be her birthday present. What is the purpose of BBCHA, and why should I join? Also, the name and address listed here to send membership dues are different than on the bbcha website, and they are both different than the name and address in the stickied thread at the top of this forum page. Which is correct?

Nick, I'm not sure about the addresses. Send membership to Jim Combs or Debbie Killough and I know you'll get your membership card. There officers of BBCHA. The membership chairman will take care of it also. Don Cummings is also selling memberships. Thanks for becoming a member. God Bless!

Welcome

Hi Nick
welcome to the Bluetick world.
the purpose of BBCHA is Friendship and fellowship thru sportsmanship.
In short, to promote our Good old bluetick hounds. We hold several hunts across the US each year.

What is in the “Blue Book”

I see it referenced a lot, and it is included in the membership, but what is it?

BBCHA Historical Blue Book

Hello Nick....thanks for your inquiry. Since I'm serving as Blue Book Editor for the upcoming book, Jim Combs ask me to reply to you.

The BBCHA Historical Blue Book is a year book for the past year 2018, to include assorted historical happenings since the breed became official in 1945. This upcoming book is the 55th annual edition. The book is approx. 8"X10" 300+ pages.

This year it will feature 28 Stories, Poems and Tributes; several tributes to Bluetick icons, hounds and men/women; several biographies on active Bluetickers; over 100 photos of historical/pioneer Blueticks (the Blue Pages); results of 10 Premiere events and multiple sectional events throughout the U.S.; over 100 ads of Bluetick studs and kennels; an alphabetical listing of roughly 1000 BBCHA members; much more. We're trying our best to make the upcoming book as good as it's 54 predecessors. You'll like it! Thanks again.

Mr. Ormiston

Couple questions. As I too have my 1st bluetick pup. I mailed membership dues to UKC 1st of January. Received 1-19-19 by email my membership number 10001360. Email stated I would receive card soon.

1. I'm wondering the definition of soon?

2. Blue Book?

That would be your BBOA Membership. BBCHA doesn't use UKC to handle membership. I did hear the BBCHA Book has over 350 pages and currently at the printers. Should be in the mail in a couple weeks. Haven't heard about when to expect the BBOA Book. Many pay dues just to receive the annual book and are anxious to get it when it's too cold to enjoy hunting.
