Garmin Alpha HELP!!

This has happened before and I have forgotten how to fix the issue. If someone would be so kind, I promise to write down the answer in a note book for personal help in the future.

It seem's my Alpha is (once again) deleting parts of my dog's tracks about every few minutes. I checked on one screen and seen I had it set to delete after two hours. Is there something else I can do to stop this thing from deleting dog tracks in the middle of the race? I was thinking maybe declutter, but I cannot seem to be able to find that feature.

Any help would be appreciated, Thank You!!

I have noticed mine does that if I dont clear the tracks at the start of each hunt. Almost seems like it has trouble loading all those tracks into memory. I am curious to see if there is a fix.

try deleting some archived tracks. Under "track manager"

Dog Whisperer

I did delete them all last night while hunting, but I only had 4 or 5 as I had cleaned them out a couple weeks ago.

It may be a memory thing like Tory had said. The other night when it screwed up it had deleted the fist part of the hunt, then left some dog track from the middle of the hunt, and then would clear the last hour of tracks maybe every 5 minutes or so. Crazy stuff for sure.

Rocketman there are several ways to clear track. The one I found that works best because it actually shows you how full your ALPHA of tracks your ALPHA is would the the TRIP RESET COMPUTER. It is found on the HOME PAGE a couple pages back. Open it and find reset. Read the screen while your doing this and it will show how full your system is. Second thing would be deleting archived tracks.

OK Bruce sure appreciate this information. I'm gonna write this down in a little book, so I don't have to keep bugging people with my ignorance. Much appreciated.!!

Ask anytime. Trust me it is not looked at as begging but just asking for some advice from Friends.

Bruce, can we get an answer to this?

There is no answer for that one. One thing that affects the compass most is temperature change and this time of year it gets worse. You have it in a warm truck or coat pocket and then expose it to freezing temperatures.
