My age group a high percentage did not get the education the youngsters are provided with today.

May not had the best tools but we didn't give up easily.

Age group has nothing to do with education level, I am older than you and am 3rd generation college graduate. There are just as many high school dropouts today as 40 years ago. You don't have to be rich to get an education. Dave

I disagree, education starts at home just like many other things, it's what one is taught. If education is stressed at home and one is expected to get an education, they must likely will. We were taught the value of an education and the process continues with our children and their children all of whom are college grads. Dave

This is kinda off topic but up here in Elkhart County and next door in La Grange
County, there are a bunch of self made millionaires and the overwhelming majority of them were never educated beyound the 8th grade. They inherited nothing and were never given a thing.

With that said, I went to the University of Tennessee for a year and a half in the 60's. I was 18 yrs old and fresh out of a lil country high school. You wouldn't believe the education that I got. It had nothing to do with books.

I can't count the college grads I had to teach to be my boss !! Bunch of golden boys is what they were. I made good money with a shovel and doing the jobs nobody else wanted I went hungry as a kid but my wife and kids never did and still don't.

Lol. I wonder how many folks would go to a self taught doctor or lawyer! Education is important simple as that and is available to any one that really wants it. Nothing worth having comes easy, I have known people that went to college after their kids were grown and got their degree. Dave

63.......College educations don't mean crap today. Most colleges are dumbed down so today's young folks can pass. Also most colleges today are liberal cesspools.
