Who is going to have the first GrNt HOF?
I for one am kind of excited about this title.
I think it will be one of the more elite titles.
Which breed will have it first?
That be pretty good performance check tied to it.
I for one don’t hunt much after GrNt in the big hunts.
Up until this I thought it was a waste. Now, I kinda excited to hit some UKC hunts come first of year.

Competing and winning that many casts would take a better than average dog. Especially, if it did so before old age.Lol. Dave

With 60 minute hunts it won't take long .

A walker dog will be the first one 😆😆😆
Right up front, it has to be someone willing to blow $1000 dollars in entry fees and that's if his dog never loses. Then it has to be someone or some group of handlers willing to haul the dog around to 50 or more hunts. And probably the first thing in their head after accomplishing all this will be "why in the world did I do this?"
Forget about the dog burning out, how many handlers could seriously attempt this without ending up hating the sport.

I think its neat but few if any realisticly will achieve it. I have always entered Grands every chance I get. If this would have been passed a few years ago Main Stret Blue and Main Street Jam would be half way over or more. Good luck to whoever can achieve it. It will be a title well earned.
I think most dogs would be ruined or dang near it with this many hunts. But a special dog could pull this off.

I have one dog with 147 CW and one with 68 CW.
Me and the dogs aren’t worn out.
The money issue could be an issue
But, the bragging rights is worth it all.
Isn’t that why we go to these hunts anyway? To crow a little.
It doesn’t take a group of guys. I have no group.
It just takes a guy that likes to go to hunts.
It take a lot of nights. It takes multiple years to achieve. But nothing worth having is easy to achieve.
I for one plan on having me a GrNt HOF
As a small boy I dreamed of having a ntch or grnt and be like the legends that we looked up too
This is my chance to have one of the first and set around the club when I old and brag about it to the young ones hoping that in their life they can achieve a first in their career.

We will just be winning cast not having to be first place.
There lot dogs great at cast wins but not at big scores. That’s why they prefer elimination style hunts.
This draws that group in.

If a dog is paid up in performance that should offset some or maybe all of the cost to win the 50 casts.

50 cast wins is a bunch but very doable. Go run a state or breed race in pkc and see how many you get in just one year. I think double headers will be what a lot of clubs will start having. If so might not take as long as one might think

I have owned 2 with over 50 cast wins. Got one in the pen now. Not in UKC but I couldn't do it in them before. I might give it a try. Jim if money is the thing then add up your feed bill. That might have you asking why you did it too.

I briefly read the new format and after spending the past few day at Autumn Oaks and 34 hours in a truck. I haven't had time to look deep into what the changes will bring. One thing after reading these post I do see and would like someone to explain is the Performance Points. I see we are talking about the new formats increasing attendance and I guess that means more performance points given out. However I don't see any mention of how they are increasing the INPUT into the performance program. If you just take more out without putting more in. The value of each POINT will be less. So you can double the points earned and you end up with the same money you got the year before for half the work.
Am I missing something there?
