Who uses Ivermetin to worm their dogs

I was told that you could use a hafe c.c. mixed with some kool aid . and give by mouth for worms and heart worms. One man said 2 times a month. One said 1 time a month. I realy want to do the best by my dogs. Please . if anyone has any in put. I would be so thankful

I believe the formula is 1/10 of a cc per 10 pounds of dog weight. There r a couple threads on on here about this if u can find them

Ivermectrin....

Lucas is correct.....
1/10 cc per 10 pounds of body weight.
It will help with Heartworm Prevention.....But I never had any luck with it taking care of other types of Worms.

I've been using ivermectin for about 20 years 1/10 cc per 10 pounds. It gets everything but tape worms. In the past my dogs have had a few tape worms, but since I've been giving them Nexgard, they are no longer a problem.The only wormer I use is ivermectin.

No, Ivermectin at the correct dose to control heartworms in dogs will not kill intestinal worms.

There are many safer alternatives to control intestinal worms. I use safeguard (fenbendazole) cheap and way safer than ivomec.

There are hundreds of pages you can google on ivomec and make your own informed decision rather than taking some unknown persons personal opinion. I wouldn't take any type of advice from someone who is worming their dogs twice a month.

There is a strain of hartworms that Ivemec is useless for. Dogs are coming down with hartworms left and right that are on ivemec. Just google it.
