Navajo Bear Hunt on CARNIVORE
This week we will be bear hunting in the vast, beautiful Navajo Nation with Kadden Kothmann and CARNIVORE'S Cameraman, Steve Roberson. We will be hunting with CARNIVORE'S Calvin Redhouse and Ty Sandoval who were born and raised on the reservation.
We will be chasing with hounds as baiting is illegal on the Navajo Nation and hunting with hounds is the way that it has been done for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years.
I hope you will tune in this evening at 11:30 PM, Saturdays at 12:30 PM and Sundays at 6:00 PM, all Central Standard Times.
Thanks and Adios,
Gary
.
Looking forward to it. Any updates on that blue pup you got out of the frozen semen cross. Hope things are going good for you. Thanks for the work you do, bringing the sport of dogs and hunting into the living room of many people.

Bruce, I have two of the females here and a male at Eddie Moore's near Colorado City, TX. The pups are doing well when I can take them but snakes and heat have been really bad lately. Supposed to be 107 today and 109 on Monday, also very dry.
Thanks for tuning in.

Recorded it and watched it this morning...Enjoyed it! But, I'm never bored when I'm in the woods with my dogs. Now sitting in a deer stand...Now that's boring.

I like the show. Them are some good looking hounds. What is the bloodlines of the English dogs?

Plotts, they just get the job done.
The English looking dogs are out of a Black and Tan looking dog and a ticked up female. They are about as cold blooded as you can imagine but work really well on bears. The treeing walker female came out of South Carolina and is making a nice dog. She has a lot of speed but has a tendency to overrun a track and keep going. When she does, seems like it takes a while for her to figure out what she did wrong. Calvin hunts most everyday and has unlimited country to hunt. His dogs are in great shape and handle extremely well. The nice thing is that he can call them off of any tree.
A couple of the blue dogs belong to other hunters who are paying Calvin to hunt and train their dogs. He has some blue dogs that I have given him but we just hunt them on lions.
Thanks for watching and Adios,
Gary
I'll have to catch up and watch it, one of the best outdoor shows available, and possibly THE best when it comes to hound footage.
Gary, are you still teamed up with Joe Braman? I see he trained some hounds to catch Rhino Poachers, was curious if all the aspects around that would be aired.
Keep up the good work.
Adam
Joe and I are still good friends and yes, I want to video the training of these dogs but waiting on Joe to return from Africa as I don't want to be there.
From what I understand, one of the Park Rangers who was chasing poachers was killed last week. This is a dangerous situation as the poachers make a lot of money off the sale of contraband in a country that is extremely poor...and they are armed.
Adios,
Gary
Yea it looks flat out intense from all angles. Extremely interesting.
