Southern Illinois Hunters

I need help. I have a young walker male 8 months. Coming along real well with training. Runs drags through the woods, wants to stand and tree. Been taking him out and letting a coon out to lay down a trail before I release him. He runs that trail but won't stick to it. Farthest out he has gone is 150yrds. I have found a couple of people that live near me, but they are fair weather/pleasure hunters. If there is anyone located close to me that would be willing to let my dog run with their experienced dog, I would really appreciate it. I have plenty of virgin ground or would drive out to you and your ground. I just want to get him running with experienced dogs a few times so he catches on and will start running out and finishing the job. Give me a call. Thanks, Nathan

I know a guy about 50 miles from you in Belle Rive. I don't know how busy he is this time of year but he's a good guy with some good dogs. I'll check tomorrow and get a phone number for you

UKC hunt at Jamestown tonight and tomorrow. Sounds like your dog isn't ready for the hunts yet but you'll meet some guys there that live close to you.. I don't know anyone around Okawville but I'm sure there are some.
