Performance Sire Question

Does the sire have to be paid up before he is bred or pups from him has been born during the year he has been paid up in the program? Or can the pups be born then the sire paid up?Reason I'm asking this is because I have no clue if I can or not and can't find the answer.I never intended to breed my male this year so never bothered with it.But anyway decided to breed him and my female after all. Never gave the program a thought till a couple days ago.

When the sire is paid up then all pups born during that year will be eligible. You can pay up a Sire in Dec and pups born in Jan of that year will be eligible.
