Questions Process

When a handler brings back a question, should UKC/MOH require a the handler to first be able to state the rule involved and how he feels that it wasn't followed?

Posted by Dogwhisper on 06-19-2018 07:36 PM:

Most of the times the handler will incriminate him/herself.....letm go first !

It always seemed to me that most questions were about judgements made, not rule questions. Which is probably why so few get overturned.

So if a handler questions a judgement call and is outvoted in the woods, then he doesn't stand much chance of getting it overturned back at the clubhouse?

How can a person who is not present have an opinion on a judgment call?

You can just slide the trash can out from under the table hold the score card over it and say y'all sure y'all can't work this out among your selfs.

The same way a judge and jury that were not present during the crime, they listen to the witnesses and make their decision. Dave

Dave, have you ever sat on a panel concerning a judgement call? Every witness has a different story. It usually comes down to who is the best talker or who has the most influence/friends. Or in Mr. Chaz's case, who is the biggest meanest bully.

If the MOH is unwilling to settle a question, why even have an MOH?

This is what I'm talking about, Dave Richards. MOH is clueless about most judgment calls.

Tie vote on a judgement call issue I'd go with the judge Everytime. I give him the card for a reason.

No you pick your card out of the trash and ask for a panel. The MOH doesn't have any authority anymore.

Why in the World would anyone want to fight just because you did something stupid like scratch their cast? And why would you want to fight. I have never seen someone win a question because they won a fight.

Yes we give the card to him because we know him to be honest, but even he (or me) can make an HONEST mistake. Sometimes we forget that. Nobody is perfect.

Agreed. And limiting the mistakes made to honest ones is a pretty good place to start.

When different handlers have different opinions on a judgement call, is it a "mistake"? Who is to say which one is right or wrong? After all they are just different judgements or opinions.
Now when they have different opinions on what a rule says or how it should be interpreted that is a different story.

What do you do when the honest judge says one thing in the woods then talks to his buddy on the way to the club house and has a new story
