Pup Training

Hello, I’m getting a pup in a few weeks, out of nice dogs, the father is Foggy Mountain White Lightning and the mother isn’t a competition dog but goes back to the big time walker dogs, Lightning was totally a independent dog since he was a pup, he trained himself, and I was just wondering how a person could train a pup by it’s self, and some tips on pup training. Thanks!

Work on the basics first and be patient. Come here, stay and hunt with scented drags or coon hide make it short sessions keep it fun Then leading and loading up. Catch you a cage coon show it to your pup if it’s scared keep working it on drags and take it to the woods let it mature enough on its own if you try to force a pup on a cage coon you can set it back a lot. Only do it a few times you don’t want them expecting you to just provide them with a coon.
