Alpha Shuts off

For some odd reason tonight my Alpha screen kept freezing up and shutting off slowing loosing the display picture. I would have to take the battery out and re power it. Then a few minutes later would do it again.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in Advance

.

Possibly need to clear out old tracks. Go to trip comuter and reset it. Then clear archived tracks and any unwanted saved tracks.

I forgot to state that I clear the trip computer and start new hunt every time I go out.
I use a KY HuntView Card
Battery was showing 91%
Running a T5 and a TT15

Perhaps check and clear all you archived tracks. If you had a buddy with an ALPHA I would swap batteries with him one night and make sure there is not a battery issue.

I am trying something I searched called a “Electrical reset”. Which said to Remove Batteey and plug into wall. Then inset the battery back and let it charge overnight. Hopefully this works

Mine

Mine would freeze up, have to be rebooted etc... when the memory was full. I had to go in and delete all my tracks, all of the dog tracks and all the archive tracks. Starting a new hunt and resetting the trip navigator didn't free up much space from what I could tell.
I've gotten in the habit of deleting everything, every time I put it on the charger. This seems to eliminate all issues.

I did what was described as a “Electrical Reset.” It seemed to cured he problem until a couple hours into last nights hunt it started doing it again

Came home and did a Master Reset and maybe this will cure the problem.

If it don’t I’m going to try a new battery.

If you have Birdseye it may be a corrupt Birdseye file.

Alphas are notorious about shutting down. I have had 5 of them and all but one did it

Since this thread deals with potentially clearing a track log, I have a question. On an Alpha, when a collar is removed, does the system automatically clear the track log for that particular collar?
