Spring Has Sprung

I guess that I shouldn't have run over that groundhog last week.

Dang you Richard, you could have missed him. Lol. Snow, rain and wind and it may be your fault. Lol, Dave

Hunted with Jerry last night. He told me they had finished planting corn on the 17th. I sure hope spring is here. Jerry plants 5 to 6 thousand acres of corn. A few years back farmers in this area didn't think about planting corn until March 25th. Should be able to have some early June corn field races.

Oh my goodness, 1,000 acre cornfield race? How in the world do they ever get a coon out of one? Or just how many coons can there be in a thousand acre cornfield? And with the deep and alone hounds of today, how many races can you have going on in one of those huge cornfields at the same time? I can't even imagine hunting out there. My cast ran a coon for 1 hr in a big corn field at Autumn Oaks one year. The coon finally came out and climbed the only tree in the area. We were standing 50 yds from it.
