-- cast win towards gr nt ch (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928501641)
cast win towards gr nt ch
yes or no
how many feel a cast win with plus points should get you a win towards gr nt ch instead of high scoring nt ch only?
Around here two Nt Ch casts is pretty uncommon.
Yes but shouldn't be just for ntch 's. Should be for all casts.

Guess your answer could depend by your area. Up here it’s rare to have more then one nite champion cast. I’ve only had it happen twice where I won a nite champion cast and didn’t get a win so to me I would say no you must have 1st place nite to get the nite champion win

Practically everyday on this forum you read posts complaining that titles no longer have value or meaning because that are so easy to achieve. And with most hunts to day having only 1 or 2 NtCh casts, its probably true. Why in the world would anyone suggest changes to make it easier? They already give a win for every 5 NtCh casts at the bigger events. Anyone who votes yes on this one should be embarrassed.

i don't feel it would cheapen the titles. it would even the playing field. for those that don't draw more than a cast of nt ch this won't change anything unless attendance to your club changes. which it may. i see nothing but positive things from this change.
for those men who are slow at walking and the cast that there with this can help. for those who don't draw the best guide with buckets no problem.
i also feel people get discouraged when they win there cast only to find out they get nothing, natta, it's discouraging.
attendance may actual improve because ther are fellows that only take there dogs to nt ch because of this unfair deal.

Maybe titles are cheap up north in that easy terrain and coon zoos or where those easy entry cards are getting sent around to those ( special clubs ) but down here in this jungle if you are only in a 4 dog hunt every cast your going to earn it if you tree one or two coons you then got to try and hang on to your points the only exception is during pecan and grape times coons are concentrated then.
Tar
thats a
NO now that is the start of watering down this title. Why don't we just make all the dogs Gr. Nt. Ch.
What if you made 10 cw to make ch and 10 to make grand? Would 20 cw not mean a more consistent dog than a dog that wins 8 under the current system?

Makes sense to me because that's about what it takes here. Probly 5 registered cast tho.

I voted yes with the assumption it would require more cast wins to make ch. titles
why not make the cast wins at different clubs.win, win for everyone.
Would this be a step in the " give everybody a trophy" direction?

It should be 5 hunt wins to Nite champ, 5 hunt wins to Grand nite..

Hunt them all together. Five cast wins for nite ch ten more for grand.
With the numbers at the hunts now and three categories you know who you're gonna hunt with before you leave home.

I voted yes. Not embarrasssed one bit. I think that the dog that wins his cast in tough woods grubbing out a coon or 2 winning his cast is every bit as deserving of a win than the dog that scored on 6 coon off 6 coon feeders. Seems it'd be embarrasing to disagree with that. [/QUOTE
That's what I've been trying to say for a long time. How is the dog that's not hunting off of buckets supposed to compete with the other cast? Now you could still have the same win setup but the points scored means nothing because your have to go back out and hunt it off. Whether its 2 dogs or 4. Elimination style hunts is the only fair way. That's why ill stick to the other kc's. This one isn't going to change anything anytime soon. And the way its setup the dog hunting buckets is the dog that wins the whole thing.
