Looking for Squirrel Dog
Looking to get into Squirrel Dogs and would like to find a good starter dog or pup from good hunting parents in the NE Indiana area.
Would also be interested in going on a hunt and learning what I can about it.
Used to do coon hounds back in the late 90s, but want something I can do during the day (getting older and don't like to be up late - lol).
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you
Just some advice and my 2 cents, if ur just getting into it i would suggest buying a finished dog first, yes they can be high but a good solid older dog, maybe even non registered can still be bought and not break the bank. It will be more enjoyable for you and after you've done it awhile then maybe try a young dog or pup to train. Either way good luck with whatever route u take< its hard to beat squirrel hunting with a good dog

Thanks for the advice - just having a hard time finding anything local up here - or people currently hunting squirrel dogs - thought I would try posting here to see what happened.
Thanks again.
