Hunting a dog along.

I've got a 6 1/2 year old male, I've always hunted him by his self. He goes as deep as he needs to tree a coon, last night he made two trees, each tree was around 3/4 mile deep! I've never had a problem with him not getting deep!
The problem I'm seeing is he doesn't get in a hurry! I got too thinking it might be because he's always by his self? Anyone experience this when hunting one along?

Got a year and a half old English female that’s as good a dog as I have ever owned I raised her and trained her alone..take her with multiple dogs she will get gone and try to do it fast, but if you take her alone she takes her sweet time..sometimes i wish she would hunt faster alone but it’s not that big of a deal to me

It seems to me that some smart dogs know that I they don’t need to get in a hurry because the game will be found whether it is 5 minutes or 10 minutes...or an hour...

And they will hunt hard against another good dog...

One of the best dogs I ever owned learned this even when hunting with good dogs...we turned the dogs out and he would make a big loop and if you didn’t see him he would be baying in short order...if he came back you could bet your last dollar there aren’t any hogs around...if he left again you can bet he will be baying before the dogs that stayed busy...he started doing this around 6 or 7 years of age...
