Winter Classic - Please Be Considerate
For those of you who have come to batesville early or are coming early to “get your dog ready,” just remember that those places you are killing coons may very well be where you draw out.
We are lucky to have a lot of really great public land nearby with a good coon population, but it isn’t a midwestern corn field. Those places where you may have had a really great score on 5 or 6 coons will most likely only score one or two after a couple weeks of killing coons.
We sure don’t mind folks coming here and enjoying themselves, but please be considerate. If you don’t draw out to where you’ve been killing coons, your buddy might. Plus, it sucks for us after everyone leaves.

This is just another way to make sure that they have a better shot at winning. Think about it, go to public ground shoot every coon you tree. And when it comes hunt time have a paid guide. So its kind of stacking the deck. Its been happening for a long time.
i took a trip to the north unit of the white river refuge couple weeks ago . use to see 10 down there every trip .looked at 5. guess all those out of state guys thinned the coons out down there. lol
