GrNtCh Badlands Treeslammin Blue Hooker

*In Honor Of* GrNtCh Badlands Treeslammin Blue Hooker

Hooker owned by Jason Kahler passed on Monday at the ripe old age of 14. She was very well deserving of the label top notch balanced coon dog,and one of the best our breed has seen. She was cold nosed, fast, and could tree any kind of coon with an outstanding mouth! I had the pleasure of hunting with her several times and the last time out with Hooker at 13 yrs old she still showed her tremendous heart & ability.
Jason is a top notch guy and houndsman that won’t say much about his dogs so I just wanted to recognize and honor a great bluetick female gone by!!

Thanks

Very Nice James!

Men like Jason & hounds like Hooker don't come in bunches, glad you enjoyed time in the Timber with them.

Never hunted with Hooker but I'm certain if you liked her coon treeing ability, she was a keeper. A top hound is difficult to loose.

I agree Vic & Dennis, there are only few hounds regardless of the breed that really stand out and leave us striving to hunt & breed more of that type! I especially enjoy hunting with top hounds no matter the breed, and great men & people of this sport.

Dennis, I have been asked several times the last few years what blue females have left an impression and I have always said Dennis Elbraders “Flo” and Jason Kahlers “Hooker”. Thank you guys for breeding and hunting some top performing blues! Take care buddy

I'll never forget the gratitude Rick expressed for taking him hunting. If there's blue dogs in heaven, Rick will have a couple on his lead.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Hooker, I had a male off her and he was a real coon dog! Not only was she great in the woods but an impressive reproducer in my option. Jason is a top notch houndsman!

Sorry to hear this. I'm a Plott man but hunted with Hooker a lot through the years. She was a coon dog!!! Jason is a class act and a friend for years. He always is leading a for real dog.
Hooker will be missed.
