Help!!!

My female is in heat and will stay for a male dog. The dog we are breeding to just smells and licks and doesn’t try to mount. Can someone tell me what to do to help they get crossed

Take her to a vet for progesterone testing. When she is ready if he won't mount her then collect him and artificially inseminate her. Usually either female is not ready or male is sick.

Would be my guess

Old Moose wouldn’t look at a female until the “right” time and would get it done and wouldn’t look at her again.

put another dog in the pen where the female is and dont let the male get to her for about an hour ,,,make sure he can see this or right beside his pen
