I heard that it was -13 degrees in Greencastle, In, the coldest night since the Ice Age. It is 13 degrees in Chattanooga, Tn right now but feels like 2.

It was -13 here in Peru Indiana at 5:30 this morning. They said the Wind Chill was -29.......Yikes...!!!!

During the last week, I was spending most afternoons in a deer blind for 4-5 hours. Late season bow hunting can be a test of will. I would get in the house and after dinner I was wiped out for the rest of the night.

One night I was setup in the woods 20 yards in from a a soybean field. I got in the blind at 1:00 pm, and had 20 deer blow by me at 5:35 pm. They were were so excited to get to the soybeans they ran past me.

My wife and sons pretty much was telling me I am insane for spending so much time in the woods lately.

I understand it’s not Global (Al Gore) Warming now. It’s now Climate Change. What the heck does that mean. Are they saying it’s to cold in the winter, or to hot in the summer? What the heck is going on in this world today?

I do not have any problem believing the climate is changing. The plants and trees are the lungs of the planet. How much less timber is around you now then when you were a kid? Arkansas used to be timber around the turn of the 19th century from the Ozarks to the Mississippi river. They cut it all down to farm and its not being replaced. Its common sense that if you double and triple the amount of pollution that goes into the air and then cut down what is filtering that pollution your going to have a problem. Climate change simply means it changing, they are not saying its the end of the world. What they are saying is the world is going to change. The USA feeds the world, in the last few years the crops are getting in later and later because of floods. What happens when a year comes that the crops cant be put in in time?

Global warming means that you will have more temperature extremes; more heat and more cold, more floods, more hurricanes, more tornadoes. Yes the world climate is changing and not for the good.

It was 10 degrees in eastern NC this morning. I actually felt sorry for my dogs this morning since they had never seen temperatures that cold and brought them in the garage. After I put them in the dog box, they just looked at me as if to ask what next? Now the weather man is predicting snow tomorrow. I'm looking forward to some climate change!!
