Deep South Sally

There was a big winning $kc B&T female by the name of Deep South Sally owned by RD Carnegie from Louisiana back in the mid 90’s to early 2000’s. Does anyone have any info they could share on here about how she was bred? Thanks.

Deep South Sally... GrNtCh Bad to the Bones Sally

Pretty sure she was out of Ace and Bad to the Bones Princess. Her and Minnie Pearl were littermate sisters. Sally never had any pups. Pearl is the mother to Cane and Rachael.

Kenneth was she out of Ace or BTTB Stone or was Stone a littermate to Sally?

I enjoyed reading those interviews on the ABTCHA website about the longtime successful B&T hunters and the most successful dogs. But, why isn’t there any mention (that I saw, correct me if I’m wrong) of Deep South Sally? Is it Bc she did the majority of her winning in $kc? It seems as tho she won more than most famous B&T’s in the interviews, winning around $50k. Did she title out or win any big ukc hunts?

Sally was out of Ace. Sally's littermate sister(Pearl) was bred to Stone and that is how Cane was born.

I never read the interviews. But, Deep South Sally and Bad To The Bones Sally are the same dog. Sally never reproduced a puppy for Steven. I'm pretty sure when the interview was written it was more of the Cane time. Is the interview on Steven Gambel?

If im not mistaken Chris Hare had a hand with her also

I was with Steven the night he bought Rachel. She was a classy treedog.

Thanks for sharing the info on how she was bred, almost interesting to know how some of the biggest winning B&T’s are bred. I did not come across any interview with Steven gamble, and I’ve read thru all of them atleast twice lol

The guys that run that ABTCHA board have me banned because I'm not in their clique, pretty much the same reason you don't see an interview on Steven Gambel or the Sally dog you are speaking about. I doubt you will ever see an article on Steven in the ABTCHA by the crew that did those articles.

Sally was a winner and winning everywhere she went. She paid her way to the hunts. I'm pretty sure Steven was in college when she was doing all this.

If you need to know anything about Sally or her bloodline Steven Gambel is the guy you would need to contact. Although, he currently isn't hunting due to kids and sports. I know of two dogs that he is listed as half owner of, and I have two dogs here in my yard that are his breeeding. I just raised a litter out of them(Tex & Showgirl). So the pups are his breeding top and bottom. Someone needs to keep Steven alive until he gets back at it. 😂😂😂

Didn’t intend to dig up any bad blood! Just trying to learn about past and current B&T coonhounds and specific lines and what they’re like, on my quest to find the independent, fastest track, and quickest tree dog that is still accurate.

You didn't dig up any bad blood. I would say the Bad to the Bones bloodline is a good place to start.

Yeah you guys are correct, I don't know why I thought she might of been out of Stone because we all knew that was the One goodin that Ace produced.

#2. You're wrong about interviewing Gamble too. I DID interview Gambel in the April 2011 Coonhound Bloodlines Magazine, mainly about Blackhawk. I have no beef with Gamble at all.

#4. When I stopped doing articles, ABTCHA begged for someone else to pick up the torch and continue doing them. They posted several times about it on this message board. But NOBODY offered to do them, so they died out. I did interviews based on request from members, not about "cliques."

#5. I've seen your mouth run for days before, so I know you'll parse and extract dang near everything I say on here, so knock yourself out. But people know ahead of time, most of your ink is BS.
