Young Dogs
After a few years of taking my lumps, learning, and struggling to find a young dog that suited me (I am picky) I think I am finally on the right track with one. There is nothing better that seeing a young dog really start to put it all together. I have had rabbit beagles all my life but there is something special about seeing a coon hound figure it out. She certainly isn't perfect but she has manners and for a 18 month old who as only been hunted since the end of September she is coming along nicely and gets better every time she is in the woods. Last night she split from the old dogs when they pulled up short and had two sitting up. She will not tree on a tree that she is not 100% sure about, she still makes a lot of puppy mistakes but she sure makes me excited for it to get dark. Really makes all the nights and drives worth it.
Also, I really appreciate everyone's advice when I have posted questions on here.

Sounds like you have a nice young hound on your hands.
I'd hunt her solo about half of the time if you can.
Other than that just keep her in the woods.
