I need help
I have a young walker female who is doing well and has treed a few coon by herself. the last two nights I have hunted her she has winded and treed a coon without trailing it first. I know this because each time she has been within sight of me. She will wind, start checking trees, then locate and bark treed about 10 tree barks on the correct tree. Then for no reason at all she will leave and run the track backwards and not come back to the tree. this dog has treed several alone and had them shot out on her. should I just continue hunting her and hope she figures it out or is there something I can do to help her figure it out? any help is appreciated
Sounds like she's just not sure unless she takes a track into the tree. Those two times you watched her I'd stop her from getting out of there put her back on the tree and maybe even drop it out. She'll be fine. I assume she's staying good when she runs a track to the tree

yea she stays good when she runs the track into the tree.. I think what has happened both times the track is still hot and shes just not able to tell whether the coon is in that tree or just left said tree. At least I hope that's all that has happened....I appreciate the reply
