Scope Lights

Has anyone tried them? Any more with my bifocals, holding my helmet, and looking through a scope it is a pain! When you see double, it is hard to tell which coon I should shot.

Thanks.

I sure do understand about holding light being a pain,,lol,, i am completely blind in one eye,,and don't see the best out of the other,,and I actually quit shooting because of not being able to see,,
I ordered a Stik-n-shoot light from Bruce Conkey and man did my world change,,,I can see very good with this light..it is small but very powerful and bright,,,it sticks on the barrel of your gun,,very powerful v shaped mags.,,plus it has a safety cord you attach to gun in case it gets knocked off so you don't loose it,,I've only knocked it off once, but the woods I was in looked like a war zone,,lol.
If you get one,,I'm sure you will wish you got it along time ago.

I also got a Stick n Shoot! I love it. I cant steady the gun well enough any more with one hand. I have the green LED. I would not want to go to the woods without it if l want to bring one down. Your problems will be taken care of. You wont need anyone with you to shine the coon anymore.

Using a red dot is the best option in my opinion. You don't have to worry about having to see sights or crosshairs. When the leaves are on and you want to roll one out and all you can see is a glimpse of an eye there awesome no aiming just point the dot and pull the trigger.

Scope Lights

Larry just mounted a small mag light on my 22. bought the light from TSC it comes with mount, however mount did not work for my app, so I ordered mount thru Bass Pro works great. Light also has rechargable battery.

Check out Wicked scope lights. Heavy duty, bright, and priced good. Very easy to install

SCOPE LIGHT.

I TOOK A RUGER 10/22 AND MOUNTED A WEAVER BASE ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE STOCK AT THE END. BOUGHT A SMALL LED THAT FITS IN A ONE INCH RING. HAD TO PUT A LITTLE BLACK TAPE AROUND THE LIGHT TO MAKE IT FIT SNUG. ATTACHES TO THE BASE JUST LIKE A SCOPE. IT POINTS WHERE THE GUN POINTS. WORKS GREAT, AND CHEAP. EASY TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF.

I duck taped a little led lite at the end of the barrel. works great.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I stopped by the local sporting-goods, and they had a small flashlight with a clamp that clamps to the barrel.

Wow! What a difference! The scope holds pretty much dead center of the light, and I prefer the light source on the barrel than on the scope.

The best thing by far is a laser sight. You can shoot from the hip if you want. Bought mine at wal-mart, for 30 bucks.

Can get real expensive real quick if you are paying citations in states where it is not legal.

They are legal in Oklahoma, for coonhunting. You would definitely want to check your own state regulations.

Johnny Reb and Marpal are right, that little red dot is great, on a rifle you dont even have to put it up to your shoulder unless you want to. Have had it on pistol to but very hard to hold steady, have to lean against a tree.

I use them all the time when calling after dark and they are great when coon hunting as well. I use the products from Elusive Wildlife Technologies, they have been producing these lights for a long time and they are reasonably priced.
Adios,
Gary
