They are moving early and not at all on the late round. We treed 5 early round Monday and 4 Tuesday. Wasn't anything hard about it.

They are all 2 hours, thanks but Me and Wood come home today. He looked really good Monday. He treed 2 by himself but I was getting struck for 25 and was beat on strike points. Last night the wheels come off!

Isn't it weird how a dog can look like a World Champion one night and an idiot the next, especially pups.

Joey what group did you hunt in?

I would have to say 100 tree with a count down might have something do with scores not being as high. You have to compare coon to coon not scores. There scoring on coons. And plenty of them!!

I hunted in the Juniors, the conditions up there are extremely dry. If the guide doesn't have water to take you to or if the dogs don't cooperate and get away from the water. You will be lucky to get on a coon. My guides on the early round both nights hunted us down some small creeks and it was great. I had to judge each time and everyone took their minus without a word said. Everyone helped find each other's coons and congratulate the others each time their dog treed one. Just real good sportsmen and gentleman. I judged a late round last night and the guides water was dried up. The dogs couldn't do much. The dog that won treed one right out of the truck and never made another tree. A red gyp treed one just before the hunt ended. It was a really long 2 hours.

Hope the Illini were good to you. I was going to tease you about Ark. giving us Clintons, but Illinois gave the world Obamas.

Chicago gave the world Obama. Those of us in the Southern half of the state have no use for him.

Just got home from Salem. Hunted sophomore Wednesday and Thursday out of Flora. Very dry conditions. My cast scored on 3 Wed and 1 Thurs and we had some but very little water where we hunted. Very few good tracks to work on the early rounds.

It was like that for everyone that couldn't get around water. I got lucky with my guides. It was bad dry, I hunted here at home last night and its getting the same way here.
