what to do?

I have a 15 month old pup that I have owned since he was around 10 months. I have hunted this pup 3 or 4 nights a week since getting him. 1 night a week with the old dog the rest by himself. he usually will go with the old dog on the first drop and run and tree but after that its like hes lazy. he wont leave my feet. When hunting him by hisself sometimes he stirs a hundred yards or so but most nights he does nothing..he has treed by himself before...what now? keep taking him alone and hope he decides to go?

when he checks in load his butt up take him home then take old dog hunting the next night leave him home again hunting old dog repeat and you will see a different dog within a month
